Firsts!!!

Seems like since first grade started we have been having lots of firsts!!!! There were first days of school, first fishing and camping trips and then Andrew pulled out his first tooth (which incidentally happened while on his first camping trip)! Seems the kids are growing up so fast and have grown into such little adventurers (they would appreciate the Indy reference). They are very brave and always ready to try something new. What a fun time in their lives!!! Here are some pictures of these momentous occasions.

*Don't forget to move your mouse over the pictures in the slide show to read the captions.

Our trip to visit Nana

Okay, so its been two months....well, better late then never I guess. Here are pictures from our trip to visit my grandmother in Florida. In case you are wondering, there are some pictures of my very talented cousin (Lindsey) in a hilarous dinner show called Capone's and soon to be cousin-in-law (David) the best monkey in the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. We had a great time and Andrew is working on inventing some sort of hologram travel device so we can go to Florida any time we want.

Katherine's sink and Andrew's TV dreams

Two silly kids......

At lunchtime today I asked Katherine if she was finished eating so I could clean her up and she replied, "I am washing my hand in my own sink...my tongue is my sink." Oh, what a silly girl!

Last weekend Andrew kept egging Tony and I on to videotape him at his birthday party while he was blowing out his candles. See, he thought it would be "hilarious" if we smashed his face in the cake so he could send it in to America's Funniest Home Videos. These days I can dispel any accident or injury by simply saying,"I should have caught that on videotape!" Then he just starts cracking up. Gotta love the humor of a almost 6 year old boy!

Oh yeah, Andrew turns six on Thursday. Have I really been a mom for six years??? Seems like yesterday I held Andrew for the first time. What an incredible journey this has been. I am so very blessed and so proud of our little family.

December 2008

Here is a slide show of pictures taken in December. We had a wonderful Christmas and an exciting New Years dinner where the kids had their first Teppan experience with some of their buddies.

Holly Jolly Christmas

Katherine performed in her first dance recital on Saturday. She has been practicing for weeks. She did a great job and really enjoyed it. I am so proud of our big girl, she spent over 2 1/2 hours backstage without us and enjoyed every minute. At the end of the recital every dancer was presented with a trophy...Katherine's first! She was so excited.
Note: Our little dancer is the first one on the left of your screen.

Dress rehearsal is a better video, closer and Mom's hands weren't shaking as much ;).
Kat is second from the left.

Andrew's Winter Festival

Andrew's school had a Winter Festival with a pancake breakfast, silent auction, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, real snow!!! (a treat for us in Southern California) and a performance by all of the students. Andrew's class sang Polar Puppy, a cute song about a puppy who lives at the north pole. Unfortunately, Andrew was placed behind a very tall Kindergartner, so you can only see a little bit of him peaking out. There are two boys wearing Santa hats, Andrew is the one behind the tall girl.......
